Liberty Wool Print and Tincatknits

Here is my finished Liberty Wool Print children's cardigan.
It has  faux cable ribbing and hood.
Knitting with this self patterning yarn is lots of fun.
Another fun thing is that this is a free online pattern.

We are now carrying a n"ewe" line of patterns called
Tincanknits.

Tincanknits consists of 2 young designers with an eye for fashion
and they are located in British Columbia.
They write easy to read patterns and many of the patterns start at newborn and go to 4XL!
Look closely and "ewe" will see hats, mitts, cowls, kids and adult sweaters, socks and even a baby blanket.

Hope to see "ewe" soon to check out my cute sweater and our n"ewe" patterns!

More Hedgehog fibres are here!

It is always fun when a box of yarn arrives at the shop - unpacking it, checking it in, finding a place to display it and then sharing the yarn with "ewe"
The other afternoon a large box arrived that we had been waiting to arrive for a couple of weeks
- more Hedgehog Fibres including some super  n"ewe" colours!
It is amazing that we can get it so quickly considering that it is "dyed to order"
and then it has to "swim" all the way from Ireland.
Blue Faced Lace
Blue Faced Dk and Kidsilk Lace

Fingering Yarn - There are more skeins under this layer!
Wow - the colours are so unique and special.
I am sure that "ewe" would love to "adopt" some of these skeins of yarn!
Keep warm and keep those needles and hook busy!

Did "ewe" have fun playing in all that snow!
You have to admit that even though it was an issue to have to shovel it
- the snow did look beautiful as it sparkled in the sunshine.
Hopefully "ewe" even found some time to knit while you were snowbound.
We had a lovely fire burning in the fireplace.
My needles were keep busy finishing off one project and starting a n"ewe" one.
Will show you a picture of my finished project once it is blocked.

My n"ewe" project is a small one made out of the cutest little balls of yarn ever!
My First Regia

It is a n"ewe" yarn called My First Regia and I am knitting a little pair of booties.
One bootie done - one to do!
There are 4 self patterning colours and a delightful book of patterns.

We will be CLOSED
on Monday Feb 18th for Family Day.
Family Day would be a great day to pass on the tradition of knitting and/or crocheting!

Cascade yanrs

I think that I have recovered from my  holiday in Costa Rico with friends.
I saw lots and did lots of interesting things but did not find any yarn shops.
I only saw a few sheep in the fields but lots of cows and horses.
As I said before I did get some knitting done - even at the pool.

While I was away more new yarns arrived and
Linda had the challenge of finding spots to put all the yarn!
We now have a selection of Cascade Yarns!
You will have to come in and check them out.
The colours are beautiful and the yarns are so soft!
On the left in skeins in Cascade 220
On the right in balls is Cascade 220 Superwash
Both these yarns are 100% wool and KW weight
- so there are a million or so projects that you can make using them

Cascade  Heritage Silk Paints
This is a fingering weight yarn in a merino / silk blend.
I know you would love to have your toes wrapped in this yarn.
A lovely shawl for spring / summer would also be beautiful.

Wow, another box just arrived - will let you know what is in it next week - or drop by before then.

There are still lots of yarns on SALE!
