Retreat & n"ewe" books

Since you are reading our blog - you obviously are a knitter or crocheter and you love our shop.
As mentioned earlier we are holding
OUR FIRST RETREAT  the first weekend in April 2014.
If you have never been to a retreat you are missing out on a super time.
All the info about our "Ewe" and Me Fibre Retreat - including registration form - will be available in our newsletter and at the shop mid week next week.
Spaces  are limited.
If you do not get our newsletter - give us a call and we will add you to our newsletter list.
It is summer - lets settle in a comfy chair in the shade and knit / crochet or plan our next project.

We have a number of new books for you to check out.

Great patterns for little ones and for yourself!

N"ewe" colours

I love my garden!
Of course I have to have PINK flowers in it!

A few posts ago we showed you this cuddly blanket
that Linda knitted using Baby Bunting.
You can see the 5 new colours that we now have.
Baby Bunting is thick, cuddly and a quick knit!
I can picture so many colour combinations that this blanket could be made in!

Hope you are having a great summer.
Remember our Retreat - April 4, 5 and 6th, 2014
Mark you calenders now.

Murrina

You all know that I love to knit and I also love to garden.
My front garden - the Phlox are so beautiful!

Murrina
is a rather strange name for a yarn but it is the name of our latest addition to the shop.
I know it is hot outside but we know winter is coming -
so this is a great time of year to start your gift projects and be already when the winds blow.
I think the best way to describe Murrina is
- merino blend, chunky, very pretty, many colours in each ball, slightly thick and thin, slight sheen.
It will make wonderful scarves, cowls or whatever!.
We have a free easy pattern to make a diagonal long scarf which you can wrap around your neck 2 times.

Just a reminder - plans are gradually coming together for our
Knitting, Crocheting, Fibre Retreat on April 4, 5 and 6th, 2014.
Hope you  have this weekend set aside for this exciting event.
More details shortly.

Cute knitting projects

Hope you had a great Canada Day weekend with your family, friends and fibre! I did!

My knitting and my gardening
make me smile and keep me busy in a very nice way!
How did you like our teaser about our retreat in last weeks blog.
We hope "ewe" are interested in attending and that "ewe" have marked it on your calendar.
Keep posted for more details!

Our customers are so great.
A long time special customer of ours - Ann H.
has kindly lent us some of her beautiful knitting to display at the shop.
Ann made this cute v-neck pullover using Sirdar Snuggly Crofter
Believe it or not - all the colours are in each ball of yarn - you "just" knit and end up with great patterning.
Any little girl would love to wear this dear little cardigan.
Ann knit it using Sirdar Snuggly Baby Speckles.
This yarn is very soft cotton blend in "speckled" colours.
Ann loves using Sirdar Snuggly Crofter and our sheep loves wearing it.
This outfit is so adorable - the ear flap hat, cute cardigan with lace knitting
and hiding under the sweater our sheep is wearing matching knitted booties.

These yarns are popular for babies, toddlers and adult projects.
A customer came in the other day wearing a lovely pullover she knit in the same colour
as the v-neck pullover in the first picture.
Sorry, forgot to take a picture of it.
"N"ewe|" colours in Sirdar  Snuggly Crofter should be arriving soon.

Ann, special thanks for lending us your beautiful knitting!
