Can you guess?

Can you guess where I was?
I was lucky enough to go away with a group of friends again this year.
We did travel to where it was warmer than here - but they were having a cool spell and I think I only had my shorts on once!
I took my knitting but did not get much done as we were busy seeing lots of interesting things.

standing beside a coffee plant at a coffee plantation
a cotton/silk tree- a really, really tall and big tree
What any interesting name!

lots big black steps behind me

Just arrived
 A shipment of the ruffled yarns - Triana - 7 colours, Ondas - 4 colours, Ronda - 2 colours
Lots more on back order - hopefully more next week
but be sure to check out the colours in stock now as they will quickly disappear!

In case you could not guess - I was in Guatemala - the country directly below Mexico.
I even climbed to the top of a Mayan temple - what a wonderful view from above the tree line!
I have pictures on my computer at the shop - if you would like to see them - just drop in any time.

Bamboogie and Joy of Soy

Can you think of any thing nicer than a lovely yarn to knit with
Below you will find one of my favourites + a new one by the same company.

Bamboogie

Bamboogie is a wonderful hand dyed yarn from the Dye Guy.
It is a 100% fingering weight yarn with a slight shine.
The names of this yarn reflect are all called Pearl .....

Joy of Soy

Joy of Soy by the Dye Guy I bet you can guess what it is made of!
It feels so soft, has a lovely twist and the colours are slightly shaded.
It is also a fingering weight yarn - think shawl, scarf or whatever.

You will only find these yarns at our shop or the Dye Guy's shop near Niagara.

New and it is not yarn!

It is n'ewe" and it is not yarn - but it is sort of related to it!

 The Gleener

The Gleener is the ultimate fuzz remover.
It does not matter what kind of yarn you use, or the fabric of your favourite top - fuzz happens.
These neat gadget - made in Canada - is the best.
It comes with three fuzz remover attachments, a lint brush, a comfortable handle and a handy storage bag.
Never take a razor to you fibers as it can do serious damage to the fibers.
Everyone needs a Gleener to keep their knitting, etc looking great.

Sirdar Smiley Stripes
Sirdar Smiley Stripes
has been very popular since it became available this time last year.
As a result, new colours and patterns have been added to the already great colour selection.
The new colours we have are the blue, mauve purple - top and bottom of the picture
and the rust, beige, cream - sides of the picture.
This yarn is exactly the same as
Sirdar Snuggly Baby Bamboo
and
Sirdar Flirt
but it has "smiley" stripes.
Both of these yarns also have fun n"ewe" colours.
