We had fun!

Everyone had fun on Saturday at our second Knit in Public Day. Linda and I set up everything outside, people began to arrive and so did the rain! As a result, we had a super day inside - a bit cozy, but no one seemed to mind.
We knit, crocheted, laughed, played silly games, had refreshments and much more.
There was a draw for a beautiful plate and bowl donated by Carolyn Filter (our yarn bowl potter), previously loved pocket books (many with a knitting theme) were for sale for a very cheap price and there was a silent auction for a discontinued baby book.
As a result, $113.00 was raised and will be divided between the Georgetown Food Band and Friends of Halton Hills Library.
Natalie brought her spinning wheel and drop spindle and it was interesting to watch her talents.
The ladies also brought lots of food bank donations and yarn for our community knitting projects.
Special draws for knitting related items were held every hour and everyone went home with a "prize"!
When the weather cleared, we went outside and came back inside when it rained - kind of like musical chair! One young girl, Kathryn, who attended last year, came back again this year. Her knitting has really improved and she spent the day knitting on circular needles for the first time. Two other little girls showed up with their Mummy's and their knitting. It was great to see them trying to knit and having fun at the same time.

Thanks to everyone who attended. It was lots of fun for everyone!
