Hedgehog is here!

We are really excited to show you this beautiful hand dyed yarn from
Hedgehog Fibres from Dublin Ireland.
When Linda was in Dublin in June - she found this wonderful "one lady" dyeing company.
She fell in love with the yarn, bought some, showed me, and we just got our first shipment.
We are the only store in Canada with it
- actually there are only 4 yarn shops in the whole world carrying this yarn!

Blue Faced DK
Blue Faced DK has wonderful colours with a lovely feel and twist to the yarn.
It is a great weight of yarn for so many projects.
Fingering Yarns

Hedgehog Fibres Sock is a fingering weight that is great for socks, shawls or what ever
- look at all the great colours!
The brown skein in the front is
Hedgehog Fibres Yak
It is also a fingering weight yarn - very soft and is the natural colour of the yak.

Remember we are closing early today - Friday -  at 3:00 and will be closed all day tomorrow as we are having a booth at the K-W Knitter's Fair.

**Starting next week - we are open again on Mondays!**

Yarn Bowls

Are you tired of having your ball of yarn fall off the couch and roll across the room?
I am sure this has happened to all of us and it is very annoying.
Just think - "Ewe"could be knitting/crocheting instead of keeping chasing your yarn!
We have the magical solution!!
YARN BOWLS!!

Carolyn, our wonderfully creative potter, just delivered us lots of yarn bowls.
She is getting more creative with each batch she does.
All the little details she adds - sheep, dragonflies, yarn balls and more
- make each yarn bowl very unique.
Her colours are gentle and match all decors.
I am sure "ewe" would love one or "ewe" know a knitting/crocheting friend
that "ewe" would love to give one to as a gift.
Hope to see "ewe"soon while the selection is still good.

N"ewe" yarns and books are arriving all the time.
I have put some yarns on SALE to make room for all the n"ewe" yarns to come.

**** We will be closing at 3:00 on Friday, Sept. 7th
and
closed all day Saturday, Sept. 8th
We are having at booth
at the Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters' Fair ****

The Dye Guy is at it again1

Our friend The Dye Guy
has been at it again developing wonderful n"ewe" colours.
Socky Talky
Socky Talky makes the most amazing socks because of its wonderful feel
and  interest colour range.
These are their n"ewe" colours. Which one is your favourite?
We have other colours in stock also.
This sock is also great for shawls - come in and see our sample.
Joy of Soy
Joy of Soy is yarn made of soy fibre.
This fingering weight yarn has a lovely sheen and feels very smooth as you knit with it.
We have a sample made of this yarn -
Maluka - and others colours for you to choose from.
You will have to come in and check out the fun names that John (The Dye Guy) gives his yarns.
One of the other super thing about this yarn that it is dyed locally in Jordon Station ON
- on the way to Niagara Falls.

Happy Knitting!

I hope that you are enjoying this hot weather.
Wasn't that rain nice on Wednesday night!!

Bob and I have just returned from a Baltic Cruise
 - it was wonderful!
Visited 7 countries and saw so many things that I never dreamt I would see.
Of course I took my knitting with me and even managed to visit a few yarn shops.

Copenhagen, Denmark
Found this lovely shop and had a nice visit. They also carried needlepoint, cross stitch and material.

Oslo, Norway
Norway is famous for their skiing and this larger than life Troll with his skis wanted to see me knitting!

I am knitting on my Wingspan
- a very differently shaped wrap - which is now on display in the shop.
It is a free Ravelry pattern.
I had pictures of me and my knitting taken in many strange places and did get some weird looks!

I will include more pictures of my trip and of my Wingspan next week.

The shop was well cared for by Linda while I was away.
When you come for a visit you will see lots of
n"ewe" signs around the shop.

Oh, by the way,
I have put quite a few yarns on sale to make way for the n"ewe" Fall yarns!
